Dell M1330 not charging?

I've got a Dell M1330 XPS and had it nearly 2 years, so well out of tis warranty period!

Last week it stopped charging the battery on it. I have to leave it plugged in to use it and it cuts out instantly when the power is pulled from it.

I did a little googling and some people suggest its a fault with the motherboard between the AC and the battery.

I was wondering if anybody has seen this before and if its fixable because the real kick in the stones it, its a new motherboard thats only 5 months old as the original one bit it from the graphics chip over heating! So I'm kinda miffed!

Any ideas or help much appreciated!

    DG.

yup, these types of problems are the most common with Dell from my experience.

perhaps try taking it to an electrical engineer if you know one? sometimes it's just a simply case of re-soldering a few connections to fix it... other times it needs the whole mobo replaced :/
