3GS - How much did you pay for yours?

Hi all...

Im thinking about lashing out on a 32gig version and i was wondering what my options are...

There are some 'unlocked' on ebay for £600 (i presume this unlocked means - use on any network anywhere - no problems?)
o2 on a bill is €300 + 12x€45 - which is way too expensive imo

The reason why im justifying it is cause my course in college has video lectures on itunes so it could be a *study aid*
Plus my old phone broke recently

Do you guys know if the itunes can fast play thru video's?
At say 2x speed like vlc player and quicktime can do?

Is there any insurance you can get for them?

im nearly sure you can go through videoes @ x.5 x1 and x2,also i think phonesonline.ie or onedaymobile.ie offered insurance

Paid €230 for my 32gb. Had 2 of the lowest upgrades on my account. Believe it would have been €300 without upgrades.

Unlocked on ebay.com they're about 700-800 min as far as i can see...

You can buy it on PAYG in Ireland for €600. Still expensive, but not as much as bill pay overall. However, don't forget that you are getting mobile phone service for the €45 payments; it's not just a monthly charge for owning the phone!

32GB 3GS, 710Euro in Italy, Factory Unlocked, works with any SIM, no Jailbreaking needed. Money well spent!!

it was jailbroken from OTB 3.0 using redsn0w and unlocked using ultrasn0w. it was then updated to 3.1 using pwnagetool to jailbreak and ultrasn0w again to unlock.

not really no, cause it would involve me going to the states again, getting a new social security number, signing another contract, living over there for a month, just so i could make about what 200 euro? wouldn't even cover my flight lol.

stuck a meteor bill pay lite 10 sim in it... and signed up for the 10 gb addon for 14.99..
