They seem to be a good netbook, haven't heard anything bad about them tbh. I was tempted by one myself. I wouldn't buy it from laptopsdirect though, they have an awful reputation on here.
Amazon.co.uk have them, and they now ship to Ireland with free delivery.
This one works out cheaper ASUS 1005HA

Ya, I heard that laptopsdirect.ie were a little 'dodgy' alright.

    Thanks for your thoughts!! ;)

There are 2 different types of 1005H. Go for the slightly more expensive one that has the Intel Atom N280 processor, 1.3mp webcam and built in bluetooth.

I have this one and I can't fault it. Great little machine and it even runs Windows 7 very well.

I have heard bad things about laptopsdirect.ie and I would be more inclined to order from Komplett.ie or Elara.ie, both of whom are very good.

What kind of battery life are you getting out of it?

To be honest I haven't measured it but it's pretty good. According to more in depth reviews on sites like notebookreview.com the 8 hour battery life claimed is attainable given light usage.

CAREFUL WITH AMAZON !OK so I have dealt with them satisfactorily in the past but have just bought this netbook and feel quite 'fiddled' (!)The Free delivery is great in fairness but BE CAREFUL its easy to select standard delivery especially with One Click purchasing .Basically the Republic of Ireland VAT rate will add almost exactly 20 pounds to the cost without any notice whatsoever ...its still cheaper than anywhere in the Republic coming in at around 305 euro.Just be wary and take your time ...
You dont have the option to buy directly from the .co.uk site you will be transferred to the EU site AFTER YOU CLICK BUY.
