I've lifted these from the various threads - in the order they were suggested.
I've not included suggestions like "Read Andy McNab" or "Read Rick Wakeman's book" ... not because I'm a literary snob, but because I don't know which specific books were meant and I'm not guessing.

Has to be Shantaram for me, it's a brilliant read, the story of the authors life. It has everything, jail breaks, heading to India, setting up free clinics for slum dwellers, more time in jail, gun smuggling for the mujahedin, laundering money for the mafia, arrest and deportation to Oz to serve his original sentence. Writes book, sells the movie rights to Johnny Depp - and the rest is history.

So c'mon guys choose a real mans book this time.

If you are going to vote Atari Jaguar ... please make a suggestion for a good book.

Torn between Garp and Shantaram. I voted for Garp but I would love Shantaran to be the book that follows that.
I still want to read Dyers Ongoing Moment. I only remembered that I've already read a book of his, "Big Beautiful: A book about Jazz". If his photography book is written with the same enthusiam as his jazz interviews then I know I'm going to really enjoy it.
Did you know that Thelonious Monks middle name is Sphere?

Are we going to have it like last time where the person who suggested the book gives a little description of why they suggested it?

Also, I'm pretty sure I suggested a book that isn't in there. Think I at least added it to the biki?

Shamefully :( I voted in the last book club poll but never actually got around to reading it.

The book I voted looks right up my alley. :)

Edit: Just at my local library and Shantaram is nearly a 1000 pages  :P - if that wins I will be all year reading!

Number 11 here. I was more wondering about whether the proposers would give a little description and reasons why they think it's be suitable.

Kitchen Confidential is a very good read, It really gives an insight into what goes on behind the swinging doors in a restaurant..(I should know!!)

There is another good book called "The Year of Living Biblically" its a funny account of a man who follows the bible for a whole year.

And one more suggestion, "Googlewhack" by Dave Gorman..

I've added these to the biki list ... we can get them in for the next vote.

Poll has been updated with the current biki list ... I think I've got them all.

I've extended the voting until Monday, to give more people a chance to vote ... this won't be like the Lisbon Treaty though ... whatever is voted is good enough for me :)

I never saw the M16 either, But I did see a chef getting weed sent into him inside a biro from a friend who was on 'holiday' in Amsterdam.

And I accidently walked in on the head chef getting rubbed by his mott.

I voted lullaby. I just finished Snuff, and have already read Fight Club. I could use the excuse to go out and buy another of his.

So Atari Jaguar wins! But that's no use to anyone so we have a tie with three books getting 7 votes.

How about a new poll open for a few days to vote between those three? Maybe a brief synopsis of each?

I didn't vote because I wasn't fussy about which it was but I'd vote between the three left.

Sounds like a plan ... if you proposed the book, give a paragraph on it ... that kind of thing ?

And then another, brief, poll ?

The central concept is that gods and mythological creatures exist because people believe in them. Immigrants to the United States brought dwarves, elves, leprechauns, and other spirits and gods with them, but their power is diminished as people's beliefs wane. New gods have arisen, reflecting America's obsessions with media, celebrity, technology, and illegal drugs, among others.

    I suggested this one ;)

    From Wikipedia;

When the United States' National Security Agency's code-breaking machine encounters a mysterious and ingeniously complex code called Digital Fortress that it cannot break, the agency calls in Susan Fletcher, a brilliant mathematician and their head cryptographer, to crack it. Fletcher discovers that the code, which is written in Japanese, is a viral program designed to break down the NSA's firewall and encryption systems, allowing anyone anywhere to access all of the NSA's files. She also discovers that it was written by Ensei Tankado, a former NSA employee who became displeased with the NSA's intrusion into people's private lives. Tankado, essentially holding the NDS hostage, intends to auction the code's algorithm on his website, and release it for free if he dies, threatening to cripple U.S. intelligence. Fletcher, along with her fiancé, David Becker, a skilled linguist with eidetic memory, are thrust into a global chase that takes them from Washington, DC to the towers of Tokyo to the cathedrals of Seville, Spain, where they must find a way to stop the spread of the code.
