ES-335 Copies?

Craic all, I'm looking for an es-335 copy for under 500.

I've played Epi Dots, casino's, a sheraton and none of them really clicked with me... Can anyone suggest any other models to check out?

And has anyone tried Agile guitars? Was looking at that but would be completely unsure of how they feel.

Yamaha SA series...you'd be doin well to find one of the better older models for that money though. I have an SA1000 ...fantastic guitar. Check it out here

Shine do a very nice version, Mahgony Top, Back and Neck. Grover machine heads and Seymour Duncan licenced pick ups.... sounds great and its only €439 or so.

Check out the brand Peerless. Tokai might also be worth investigating (though it might be out of your price range)

The Only Tokai in that price range is the ES60 which is Korean/Chinese made and uses the cheapest electronics etc. I'd not recommend one of those.

With a bit of haggling you would buy this one for around £545 inc shipping which at todays rate is only €582 not that much over budget for a quality guitar

theres 2 cracking epiphones in perfect pitch(?) i think thats the name of it, seen them today! the shop beside music maker!

That's a Korean Tokai and not worth near the asking price. Avoid, trust me.

Went shopping around today, the 2 epi's in perfect pitch while they didn't feel too bad couldn't stay in tune for more then 30 seconds.

Played a Broadway in there that felt perfect but only one of the pickups worked :eek:

Checked out music maker to try out a Gretsch G5122 and was told I couldn't plug it in, ****...

Went to waltons where I found a really nice casino, played well, had some good sounds but was still a little too sharp for my tastes.

I'm thinking of going further down the broudway route, try other brands in that style... Any ideas?
