I used to use bookdepository.co.uk until they either started ripping people off or always have been from the get go. Anyone recommend a good cheap book site?

An example of the ripping off btw is this

    http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/book/9781847170897/Blood-Upon-the-Rose?selectCurrency=GBP

If accessed from ireland and select sterling it's 10.99 but if accessed from uk its 6.98 pound

I've used this site a few times and the pricing is excellent, as its normally end of line books - so if you're looking for the latest Dan Brown it won't be here. The shipping can get expensive if you get hardbacks, but ofter the combined prices still saved you a lot of money. Last year they had a BOGOF around November and I got a heap of kids books for Xmas, about 15 for around Eu60... most of those were in the Eu8-10 mark in local bookshop.
Its worth running a search for coupons as they frequently have $5 / $10 off a specific spend.

Play.com are also good, with mainline books are good prices and free shipping.

Ive used this site a good few times, mostly used book but all the ones I received were in excellent condition.. Books are often only a euro or two, the shipping is a few euro per book.

www.thebookpeople.co.uk are great. They deliver to ROI too.
They normally have a great selection at hugely discounted prices.

Check out the bookpeople's fiction collections page, lots of sets of 10 books for only 9.99

I'd have to second this- I've used Alibris on numerous occasions- normally getting recycled scifi books from libraries that were closing etc- but hard-to-find and often out of print stuff, at very reasonable prices. Shipping was ok- but very lengthly- if you're waiting on something, go elsewhere- but its a very good experience shopping from here.

awesomebooks.co.uk are used but good if you are looking for older books, free shipping for 2 or more books.

ronano, you could always use a UK proxy site to order the book, try http://www.daveproxy.co.uk/
