Pre-shared key for WLAN

    Just bought a new phone that has wifi, when i try to connect at home it ask's me for the Pre-shared key for WLAN. Where can i find this on my laptop? I have eircom wireless broad band

    Phone is looking for the encryption key on your router, if you have not recorded the key anywhere you need to log into the router to retrieve it , if you are using eircom I am guessing that your router is a netopia.

    The address of your router is likely going to be 192.168.1.254 , you can type this into your PCs web browser address bar to access the routers GUI, if you havent changed the default username and password they will most likely be 'admin' for both fields

    You can then view the key in the security area of the GUI
