ipod not recognized in itunes

    hi all.

    my friends ipod is gone a bit doo lally.

    hen ya plug it in, it comes up, "synchronizing, do not disconnect"

    its is recognized in "my compter" and you can access the stuff on it. but i tunes ont pick it up..

    i tried resetting the settings on the ipod, i tryed restarting it my holding the menu and select. but still no joy..

    any takers?
