Chunky biker-ish boots for a bargain?

09-10-2009 4:07pm#1I'd love to get a pair of chunky black boots, kinda like biker boots (slightly higher than ankle boots and loose at the calf, not close-fitting). Feel they'd do the job in this crazy weather. Something along the lines of these http://www.drmartens.com/images/products/lg/12767001.png which I saw for 130 yo yos in town.
Unfortunately, money's tight at the moment. Real tight. So 130 yos is just not gonna happen. Was thinking to try to find some second hand, though I've never bought secondhand shoes before, always thought it was a bit manky... Was also wondering if I could find some cheap online, but I have really weird shaped feet so that a lot of shoes don't fit me well, even when they're in my 'official' size, so not sure how successful an online purchase would be.
Any suggestions? Anyone seen any nice boots in this style for maybe half that price? (That's probably my upper limit, 60 yos ish) Or any ideas for finding bargain boots?

Thanks starbelgrade, I particularly liked these ones but alas they're still up at the €100 mark. Better, but still a bit tough on the current wallet.

And also, does fake leather in a boot like this look tacky? I think you can get away with fake leather the less of it there is, e.g. in a sandal, but I'd never ever ever wear a fake leather jacket, so would you get the same kinda tacky look with fake leather biker boots, or would you get away with it? 0 -

As I mentioned, my feet are very weirdly shaped - not very long, size 6 (aka 39) but quite wide and blocky, so some shoes in a 6 just don't fit and I'd take a 7, while in others 7 would be way too big. For this reason, I'm really loathe to buy shoes online without having tried them on.
Have you happened to see, are these ones in stock yet? I really like them too.
If it's not too much to ask, if you remember, when you notice them come in would you post back here? You little shoe-angel you

Brill, well I'll be in town on Monday anyway so I'll pop in and have a try of the studded ones, and if no joy i'll hang on til the others come into stock.
