Hey, looking for info on building/modifying guitars. Trying to source locking tuners for my squier strat as the Fender ones dont fit. Anyone any sites or info?

Buy Planet Waves tuners from your local shop or online. I have them and they're great!

Didn't know they fitted squier guitars. Will have a look. Some of the online shops advertise: "Complete with screw in washers and bushes". Wonder if they supply you with different size bushes for different guitars, in other words, same interior diameter for the post holes, different outer diameters to fit different guitars?

Local guitar shop doesn't stock them, they have one set for an acoustic and they are 80 euros.

I'm not definite they'll fit, I bought them for a different guitar, but the way Planet Waves work I'd be very surprised if they didn't have various sets for LPs, Strats, Teles etc.

I have these on my fender strat, if it fits the fender id say it would fit the squire. not 100% sure though. They are very good tuners, I really bash the strings and it holds tune very well

I have used both Schaller and Sperzel, and I prefer the Schallers for their higher tuning ration, although the Sperzels also do the job fine. Locking tuners on a whammy bar equipped guitar are the business in terms of keeping things in tune. Even a Bigsby can be made to behave.
