any ideas where i could get a set of drumsticks engraved? i'm probably going to go for a set of graphite sticks, ideally the engraving would be in silver. i have no idea if such a thing is even possible, but if anyone has any tips... :D

Engraving usually entails the removal of material from the surface of the item being engraved. This means that you could not engrave the sticks in silver, but could fill in the engraving with silver paint afterwards.
It might be worth trying people who supply trophies, as they usually engrave on the sufaces of cups etc. There is also a section on Engravers in the Golden Pages.

Surely this will compromise the surface and strength of the drumstick... You're not planning to use them afterwards I take it?
