Hey guys, i'm Ciaran, the new CEO of the paintball Soc. Just putting up this thread to give our members some info. I'm the only member of the committee so far, we still need a CFO (Chief Financial Officer) and a COO (Chief Operating Officer) All applicants are welcome, you can either PM me here on boards, or email me at my student email, which is b00036537.... you know the email. I'm hoping to organise our first meeting sometime next tuesday, the 13th of nov, around noon.
I'm hoping to get a team going, so we can compete in leagues and intervarsity events, but because of cutbacks, it's not financially feasable, so i was thinking the paintball team could train with the Airsoft Society, as these two games are very closely related, and it costs a huge amount less, plus it means more people to shoot at.
Look forward to meeting you all.

    Ciaran

Hey Ciaran, looking forward to the fights :P

Just one problem, I signed up for both airsoft and paintball...

I would probably pick airsoft over paintball but I see how it goes...

No prob there gav, i'm thinking that as a sport, airsoft is much more active, and much cheaper to fund. I don't mean to disrespect airsoft, but paintball has a much wider appeal to people, so i may not go the direction of running a competing team, and just go for the 'Everyone have fun' approach, which i think is grand, but i'd rather hear from the members and see what they think, which we'll discuss at the first OGM (ordinary general meeting)

I think the airsoft society will take the competative edge, as it's a bit more of a serious thing, although i've no experience with the game, 'i've just shot at people from moving cars with the pellet guns'* :)

*not really if the law is watching
