    Hi All,

    I've my eye on a new fone, so want to sell my 16gb 3g iphone on adverts.ie. my question is, is there an easy way to get contacts, messages etc off the phone, without undoing the unlock & jailbreak? I'd like to keep it as it is for any potential buyer. If there is, how would pairing the device up with a new PC work?

    USB iphone to pc/start Itunes/right click on the iphone icon ( left column) /backup ?

    Thanks for that, just to clarify, what exactly will that do, wipe the memory but keep the unlock / jailbreak? Ideally thats what I'd like to do

    I think that Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings will pretty much sort it out.

    I'm not so sure of the Jailbreak issue,someone else might like to jump in there!

    That exercise will backup your data and Iomega Man's method will erase data. I'm fairly certain UL and JB will remain unaffected. A restore via itunes would be required to undo these mods.
