    He really doesn't need America.

America would be desperate for him though.

he doesn't need to prove anything, winning me some money is good enough for me :D

although if he goes to America and doesn't make it he will still have his Arc title and still be considered great

    No. Nothing to prove.

He owes no-one anything and has nothing to prove but it would be some fun to see him running in it and he would be a massive draw for the sport. Maybe i'm being greedy but I hope he goes for it and wins it.

Sea The Stars has nothing to prove. His record this season speaks for itself and shows that he is one of the best, if not the best horse that flat racing has seen.

STS achievement won't be fully appreciated for a long time yet. And I hope to god Oxx has the good sense not to send him to America, the Breeders Cup is hugely overrated in my opinion and the reason European horses find it difficult over there is the travel added to the fact they are asked to be at their best at the end of a season some of them may have started in May as is the case with STS. Thoroughbreds are delicate creatures and to ask STS to continue winning G1s May thru November is a bit much. Hell even May thru October is a huge ask... but he did it :)

    No.

    Reasons -
The owner does / will not need the money. No reason to risk a defeat.
He has won all the top races in Europe. Nothing to prove.
He won't go to stud in the USA so no need to advertise his ability there.
He could break a leg and be put down.

You mean he hasn't proved that already? Hard to know what else you want him to do. Win an olympic gold medal? The world snooker championships maybe?

Absolutely. And even though people say it shouldn't always be about the money, if I owned a horse worth an estimated minimum of 30 million (potentially more if his early progeny are successful), I'd be wrapping him in the fluffiest cotton wool I could find, certainly not lugging him onto a plane to America and into something of a no-win situation (if he won the breeders cup, we could say he's a brilliant horse but we know that already, if he lost it would prove nothing either way, end of a long season and all that, and if he got injured, or worse still put down, it would be a disaster for all concerned)

According to an article I read on sportinglife.com the decision will be made by Oxx moreso than anyone else, and from his comments over the last few days he doesn't seem too keen on the idea, so I'd say it's unlikely.

As much as it would be great to see him running one last time, the sensible option for all concerned is to leave it be. He's done enough.

He shouldn't go to America this year, but if he stayed in training next year he could go for 3 races during the year and then the breeders cup at the end.

It would be awesome to see him back next year.

    *Already "dreaming on"...:o*

Spot on, it would be great to see him in the National Hunt. Start him off in bumpers, then progress to hurdles and then chases. He would be great around Cheltenham. His ultimate aim though has to be the Aintree Grand National. To prove himself as one of the best this is the route he should take. He would probably get top weight in the National but with McCoy on his back I reckon he would win it.

I say he would be slightly odds-on for his first bumper though one of WP Mullins yokes could easily beat him.

Sorry to disapoint lads but he is not eligible for bumpers having already run on the flat!!! Will have to go straight over hurdles:D

On gthe orignal point, he has nothing to prove. Beaten the best. The only thing that can happen in America is that he is beaten by inferior horses which often ahppens at the end of a long hard season. Listen to me Oxx keep him at home.

Also the horses in america would be souped up to the eyeballs with lasix or some other type of rocket fuel. He couldve ended up getting a really hard race and possibly damaging him or even obtaining a life threatening injury.
