Thinking About Getting A PS3 Slimline....

I've been an Xbox man all my gaming life, so go easy on me lads ;)

Anyway, I've decided I want to get a PS3 and have to say, I'm quite attracted to the Slimline offer in Gamestop, which is basicall €330 for the console, a new game, and a controller. The free online is what's really attracting me towards a PS3 and all.

What are peoples thoughts and opinions on these Slimlines so far then? I'm very unknowlegable towards PS3's so any advice would be greatfully appreciated.

Just got one today myself and am loving it so far - still installing updates on the games I got with it though.

Game and HMV have better offers than gamestop. I'm picking mine up on Saturday, very very very excited.

I got mine in Newry - HMV - offer was better than anything I saw anywhere else - 250 GB with one new game ad two platinums for £285 (about €315)

It doesn't really matter, the RRP of just the basic console is the pretty much the same anywhere.

Well if I can get a 250GB in HMV Dublin for E350 with the same three game I'll buy there, it'll cost me E20 in petrol to get to Newry and 15 blips is hardly worth the drive.

fairly sure it was the same offer in both HMVs - we were buying other things too so it was worth our while travelling
