Added ITV HD channel but doesn't seem to work.....

Hi all, any of ye got this problem?
Followed the codes & instructions here for adding ITV HD. When I check the list of other channels it is listed (called 10510, as I have been told that's its name). When I select it to watch it, I just get a blank screen, even though I have checked the programme listings on the ITV website and know for sure that there is a programme being broadcast at that time.:(

Any ideas? Thanks!

Just checked and it's a PACE box....

I believe the channel only broadcasts when they are showing HD programmes.
There are none scheduled for today.

yeah on my box there comes up a red button to switch to hd when they are showing it in hd check this site gives the listings, itv aint showing that much a few movies, the bill champions league footie really good was watchin utd match couple weeks ago

Thanks Markk, this is the guide that I was looking at too. The Bill was being broadcast the other night but still couldn't see it...:mad:

You should be seeing a caption saying the service is unavailable or somethiong similar.

You're doing something wrong, even when there'#s nothing on there's a test card thing.

Just to confirm, you have a Sky HD box with the new EPG?
That you've tuned in and saved channel 10510?
That you're going to 'Other Channels' and selecting 10510 to watch it?

Just as an aside, what is the frequency settings for ITV HD ( I have the new EPG). And also can I get chl4 HD in ROI using this method, or is it just a no go.......and if so.......why.......we get chl 4?

No and why? Channel 4 didn't give it to us.

Maybe you misconstrued my question - It was why do we get chl 4 STD in the EPG but the won't give us HD - Same question also for BBC I guess, we get BBC 1 and 2 in the EPG, but if we want HD we have to add it?

No I didn't. We do not have Channel 4 HD because Channel 4 didn't give it to us. I am sure they will want money from Sky. Same for BBC HD

But I can get BBC HD using Add Chnls, 4HD I can not right - That is what i meant!

The tuning paramaters for Channel 4 HD are not allowed on a Sky HD box. Channel 4 HD uses a symbol rate of 29500. The Sky software only allows you to add channels with a symbol rate of 22000 or 27500.

And do you think they did this intentionally just so Sky customers couldn't get it, or was just lucky on their behalf? Also if this is known, why didn't BBC do the same? so we couldn't get BBC HD.

I guess my point here is it sounds like chl 4 are just being stupid about this........I mean, they are already giving us the chl 4 programming for free! it is not like they are going to charge us extra for HD? BBC allow us to watch it for free? All seems a little childish to me, not sure I see a valid commercial point here?

I am trying to program up an MVision HD-200 satellite box to pick up the HD channels. I am getting BBC HD, and LUXE HD. Followed your discussion here but didn't see anyone post the actual Frequency, Polarity and Symbol rate for ITV HD. Does anyone have these looked on satcodx.com but ITV HD is not listed.

Also are there any other Free HD channels or any in the pipeline ?
