    What county?

Only happens for semi finals and finals, and down to the under 11/12 level

Is it possible John O'Donoghue was organising it?

You're great with the old info there - care to elaborate?

(eg. stage in competition, price, was another game on aswell, who charged it?)

A bit more context, and a bit less ranting :)(although it does seem a bit odd)

    ha ha

he would have been collecting at the gate and claiming the expenses of getting there in the first place

So long as you were not charged €5 or €10 in.... I am just back from a great mornings entertainment. 4 Games 2 camogie, 1 Hurling and 1 football with no admission. I dont see a problem with having a nominal fee/charge of €1 to cover costs of sliothers or going towards a little party for the kids. We also sell our club lotto tickets. This morning we sold over 20 lotto envelopes at €2 each and that was just at the camogie

For home Senior games its €3 and this helps us with players injury fund.

BTW our lotto jackpot is €10,500 and you can play on line at www.stmaursgaa.ie. If you win I will drive to any part of this country with your money

You still haven't told us if it was a final, what the money was for, how much, or what stage the game was at...

Feck for all we know you got tea and scon's at the game, and were only charged a euro, with a senior game on straight afterwards. So no need to roll your eyes at me.:o

it was a final,3euro per person and 5euro for your car,the money was to pay the ref we were told,it was the only game on and the worst thing was they had no cream for the scones now thats something to rant about:D

You should have just grabbed a few hurleys and a water bottle and pretended you were a coach/selector. I always do that for any under age games I go to watch up the field but it's always the same guy collecting so he knows me at this stage. Worst thing is it all goes to the City/county board back in Limerick

Thats what I call getting on your back and using your arse as a stepladder. Nobody minds contributing a few bob but that is a little much

Hmmm, it's a funny way to do it - effectively punish the parents who do support...

Although it may be a making ends meet exercise. Referee's are now €20 per match (per team), so that builds up over a year, and coupled with entry fee's etc, most clubs make a big loss on juvinile members...
