    Hi Spudger

Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Yep you are in the right spot alright.

Two very nice TV's you have selected there.
Both popular ranges with the Boardies.

I sell the 32PFL8404H in store at €799.99 but as you may know there is a 10% Boardies Discount scheme you can take advantage of, so this TV would be €719.99 to yourself. This includes a 4 year warranty.

The 32PFL9604, now this is a speacial TV - this years 9 series TV's are the best that Philips have made (imho:)) This TV comes with a 5 year warranty at the moment as well.

We have this TV for €999.99 but after your 10% Boards discout you are looking at €899.99

Delivery would be €19.99 to Waterford on either TV.
I have the 32PFL9604 in stock and the 32PFL9604H will follow next week.
We can get these out to you asap as well (once paid for.....)

How does that sound to you?

    Cheers
    Ash

Ash the price for the 32PFL8404H looks good. However another question. I did the test on text while the British station were still analogue to check reception for digital all appeared to be good. Bearing that in mind is the 32PFL8404H capable of receiving the digital shannels from Wales. I hear mumblings of MPEG4 MPEG2 and I beginning to wonder are there other considerations I'm not aware of.

    Hi John

Let me put your mind at ease.
This TV has the latest MPEG 4 tuner on board - most broadcasters will be changing to this over the next few years as its more efficent than the older MPEG 2 system.

This TV will have you covered anyway.

Thanks Ashley for that information about the future but is this model capable of receiving the current digital transmissions from Wales?

    Spudger,

yes the 8404 is MPEG2 & MPEG4 compliant - it's exactly the same model as they sell in the UK - so as long as you are in a UK reception area you won't have any issues.

    Keep us posted,
