Hi- this is not strictly a renuable question
but I would like to build an extension with a chimney.
Ideally this chimney would have a
double flue that could ventillate a gas stove at firstfloor level
and a wood burning open hearth at ground floor.

As I am not on a gas line L.P.G will be the only option for
    fuel for the gas stove.

Basically I like the effect of an open hearth and the efficiency of a
gas stove - however everything I read will tell me the open hearth isnt efficient and the L.P.G. doesnt strike me either as efficient (fuel has to be stored and delivered)

    anybody any comments - improvements??
