hi im planning to install a fta box in my house to connect to my sky dish.

i have a question about the cable to use. i currently have spare ntl white cable which is fairly new and long in length. can this cable be reused?

In otherwords are the white and cable the same and installers use the black cable cause its often used on the outside of the house?

NTL usually use rg6 cabling which would be perfectly fine for use with a satellite so long as its lenght isnt too long...

i have two lengths of ntl cable which are about 6 metres each and i was thinking of connecting them together and then connecting to the dish.

or would i be better getting the standard black satellite cable as already used with the dish?

You are better without joins, no such thing as standard satellite cable. If you can use TX100 or similar CAI approved cable
