Radios and headsets and stuff

I just got a Bowman style headset with PTT and connector to suit a Motorola 2 pin XTN446.

I do not have an XTN446, what I do have is an XTR446 which has a different 1 pin connector, I knew this before I bought but I have a 2pin to 1pin adaptor so I figured it'd be ok.

Problem is the pins are the same size as the holes on the adaptor but the adaptors centres are further apart by 2 or 3 mm and therefore it doesn't fit. This was the only adaptor Maplins had at the time so I need to find a new adaptor, now, I know there's that yellow shop on the quays and they probable have one, but last I was in there it was expensive. So are there any other places I might be able to find a suitable adaptor?

I know, I pretty much copy/pasted my first line from your post. I got it from ehobby in thier Combat Gear -> Headsets and Radios section. They have loads of different ones including colour choices, but you're talking $70 plus shipping and I just looked, they're out of stock.

    Ebaybanned has them too.
