Appear Offline On Facebook?

    Is there a way to appear offline when you're on Facebook? I started college the other week and a guy from the course added me and now every time I log on he starts a chat with me. I don't mind when I'm on in the evening (around 6PM) and he says hi, we have a short conversation and then I say I'm logging off to have dinner or go to the gym or something. Anyway, I usually go on again around 8-9PM and as soon as I'm on he starts another chat. Then again at 11-12PM.

    I wouldn't mind if he was asking about something but it's the same conversation over and over. It goes:
    • alrite
    • lol
    • hows u
    • wassup
    • wat u doing
    • nothing, u?

    I have to stress that this happens every single time I go on Facebook. I feel a little bad for the guy because he doesn't seem to have many friends and while he means well, he's very pushy and he doesn't realise it. I don't want to hurt his feelings but I don't want to dread checking my profile every day either.

    When you pop up the chat window there is an options menu just click on it and select offline

    Make a new group in your friends page and just add him to it. Then add any one else you don't want to chat with. Then you can set just that group to offline. So you'll never have to chat to him again but all your other friends can chat to you.

    Is "rough sex" a group on Facebook or something? I'm not on the blasted site myself so don't really know how it works.

    Why would you advertise your sexual preferences for anyone to see on the internet?
