If this is in the wrong forum please bump it to the right one!

What braindead dropped-on-his-head-as-a-baby idiot came up with the term an bord snip nua? It's properly daft, and idiotic, and to be honest pretty representitive of the percieved stupidity many believe inherent to Irish politics today.

What gombeen thought that that phrase might make any sense? Translated it reads 'The new snip board'

It's so damn frustrating listening to newsreaders reading out that name so often when a fairly serious report was given the dumbest name possible.

Rant over... Am I going overboard here? Does anyone know what monkey coined that phrase?

Its not actually called Bord Snip Nua, i think its called the Pay and Expenditure Review Board. CH set one up in the 80's and it got the slang name Bord Snip, this one is similar and got the slang name Bord Snip Nua (new).

It is a perfect example of the fact that we are, as a political nation, completely unable to come up with a single new approach to the issues which now confront us. Lets delve back twenty odd years and re-establish something which obviously failed to fix the issues in the first place.

    Great idea folks.
