    Hi Guys,

Something i've noticed with people that have lost their Jobs recently and I only realised this when leaving Ireland for Continental Europe.

Has anyone claimed for their Rent Relief ? I didn't for ages because i was just too damn lazy :)

Your Entitled to it, i claimed back 3 years of it when leaving !

Also if you've taken your car off the road for whatever the reason you can claim back the remainder of the road tax for the year, 3 months has to be left on the disc.

Also i was able to claim back my tax for the remainder of my Tax credits for the year, got a good chunk back too. i.e. I didn't earn in Sep - Dec, so my PAYE credits where applied to my wages for the Tax year on my P45.

Its a very easy affair, just go into the Tax office and fill out the form, gets put straight into your bank account.

I know the first two are possible even if unemployed, but the last one i'm not 100% sure if unemployed, would be worth checking! and if nothing else would be useful for staving off any debts you have pay.
