Recently I launched a new website and have plans to meet a major brand about a sponsorship deal for the website.
    1. The deal will comprimise of advertising on the website, on the newsletter
    2. We also plan on running nightclub events and the company will be associated with all events (logo on the flyer, access to promote at the event)
    3. I will also be printing a lot of t-shirts etc which will include their logo
    4. I will have a photographer going into pubs & clubs, all these photos will also be watermarked with their logo

Only problem is I have gotten to a stage where I have a meeting set up to present this company however I dont want to overcharge nor do I want to undercharge.

    Any suggestions appreciated!
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi

I recently faced the same situation with a tech product I was looking to launch. If you are pitching to a major brand they are not going to be interested how much you are going to charge them for sponsorship or advertising. Initially they will be concerned with the traffic that is currently going through the site and most importantly the demographic of these people i.e are they a target market?

I would start by showing this information first and then talking cash!!! Basic click rates from websites can be as low as €7 per thousand.

No established brand is going to pay a considerable amount of money to start with so the money element although important is not a key factor at this stage. An established brand can open up more doors, more quickly for you than you can do on your own.

If they are interested ask them what they can do to promote your brand or event?

Best of luck with the meeting
