    Hi all.
New enough to boards. Bought my first classic there a couple of months ago and am planning to do a few jobs to it over the winter. Its a 1980 merc 450slc, w107 I think. Can anyone tell me where I can pick up the bonnet and boot merc emblems. They're missing off it. Any info appreciated.

I got a plastic bonnet emblem off eBay for my (now sold) 350 SL (something like this one).

From any distance over a few feet they look identical to the metal badges. I took the metal badge off to 'refurb' it a bit but ended up leaving on the plastic one as it looked so good.

The plastic one was also less of a concern that some scroat was going to rob it.

If you are hoping to buy a metal replacement online, make sure it is metal, as if they don't mention it - it probably ain't. :)

Google Mark Cosovich - He's in Wales. He should have them.

I think that's a C107. Lovely car and under-appreciated compared to its open top brother. I fancy owning one, one day, definitely with the V8 engine. Have you any pics?
