o2 Advance 175?

    Got a text from o2 saying that my price plan was changing from iphone 175 to Advance 175.

    Can't find any info on the O2 site. Anyone have any details on it?

    Same message received on 350 plan. Apparently, it's a name change only. Apparently;)

    Well they can't change your plan as you're on a contract, so I doubt they would.

    Yeah, seems to be just a name change, I was just on the phone to O2 and they're inundated. I imagine since their exclusive iPhone contract is ending, they need to rename the plan to remove the reference to the iPhone and make it appeal to business/technical users.

    Bit annoying because I put my SIM in a non-iPhone since last night, so I'd assumed the system had gone and tried to automatically change me.

    I'd assume it's to do with the Palm Pre possibly being released on the same price plans as the iPhone, so the rename would cover that.

    I wish O2 were as quick to inform iPhone users about the recent change in APN settings.

    The APN change is only a fix I made up to help solve the issues with internet speed. It is definitely not a long term solution.

    can anyone sign up to these advantage plans now?

    i have an unlocked iphone from the states that i'm using on PAYG and sick of paying 99c a day for using data.

    is the advance plan just for iphone? reason im asking is im due an upgrade in a few weeks and im thinkin of changing to the galaxy s (or s2 if its out by then). but does the advance 175 tie you to iphones?
