    i'd do a search, but it's down....

anyway, does anyone know the story with grants for new start ups?

is there such a thing as an employee grant... and can this be paid to yourself?

basicly, is there any help/funding from the government these days?

i'm looking into opening a small take out food place.

    cheers

    I think there is!

I'm in the process of starting a business (IT Business) and I'm going through the area partnership and socialwelfare back to work scheme and I think they give you a few quid. I'd only be looking at 1500 / 2000 euro though. Not much if you had to get equipment / shop etc for a chippy!

Good luck with it. keep us posed on here :)

Its going to be difficult to get any grants for a food outlet. They usually don't give them to anything retail based.

ay... from what i've been reading online, they seem to throw grants at IT stuff...

i wonder if it's a case of they expect you to fail? and your a bad bet?
