Sky+ remote not working

    Right .. I've got a Sky+ box and a Sky+ remote. The batterys died. They were dead for an hour or so I guess.

    I've replaced them now but when pushing buttons nothing is happening.

    The red light on the remote is coming on when I press a button but it's not registered on the Sky+ box / TV.

    I've looked at the thing on the inside cover of the remote about pressing TV and then Select/Red and tried that too but the code bit is blank so I have no idea what code to enter. I tried my PIN but it doesn't work.

    Can anyone help?

    Is the remote working with the sky box...and not changing the volume on the tv?? or is it not doing either the sky box or tv..

    to reset it back to default as if new


    RESETTING THE SKY REMOTE
    The SKY Remote can be reset to factory settings (cleared out) using the following procedure.
    · Press TV BUTTON on Remote,
    · Press and hold the SELECT and the RED buttons for 2 seconds, (LED flashes twice).
    · Key in 999, (LED flashes twice).

    To get the code for your tv...
    hit interactive on the remote and load it up...and go into the help section
    in there you will find how to setup your remote...if your not sure post the make and model no of your tv and I will try and locate the code for you..

    I followed the reset guide and now some buttons are working (interactive, menu, select, etc) but the volume isn't working.

    Can you help further?

    what make of tv and model no have you...look at the back of the tv and it should give u the model no..

    Doing this the remote just stops responding completely and I have to use your first reset again to get back basic functionality?

    I've tried it a few more times. On the 4th attempt it worked with the 0646 code. Thanks very much.

    Strange...try just pressing the sky button once you have entered the code...as once the code is entered it is set to do the tv functions..
