sharing files with vista

    newbie mac user here and trying to access files on my vista machine from my macbook pro osx10.6

    problem is, in finder, there is no network suff visible and yes, my vista is set to share files and it can be seen by other devices which can stream stuff from it

    any ideas where i can set this up?

    If the Windows computer is set to share files already then it should just be a case of using CMD+K to open the "Connect to server" Finder dialog.
    The server address will be something like "smb://<ip address of windows computer>/<share name>".

    Otherwise iFelix provides a solution from scratch with lots of pretty pictures.
