Twin Cab or Passenger 4X4

I still have a thread going on my woes with my Discovery II TD5, and as soon as I have it sorted it is gone..... even afte rall the money I have pumped into it..
So the question is do I go twin cab pick (Hilux, D-Max or L-200) or Pasenger LWB 4x4 (landcruiser or Patrol)
Have heard Patrol engine give trouble after 120K and the landcruisers are expensive, I drove 4 Isuzu troopers and they had their share of engine problems so not sure about a d-max, and I dont like the look of the L-200.
Ithink it is a throw up between a landcruiser, patrol or a hilux and at the moment the cheap roadtax and the fact that I am vat registered is swaying me to the Hilux.
Any suggestions or litlle nuggets or gems of information....

I've said it here a few times before and am worried people will think I am a shill for Isuzu but there is very little that goes wrong with the Dmax.

There is a normal injector pump on the engine and it is a totally different lump to what was in the Trooper.

Do not get the 2.5, dead asa stamp and very tractory even for a diesel jeep engine.

hilux 3.0D4D, fab engine 174bhp plus as you are vat reg'd the commercial tax is much lower than a passenger 4x4 and you still have 5 seats.
L200 has crap turning circle and is unperpowered compared to others.
3L troopers and nissan jeeps do have their problems if not minded like a child.

    Computer says noooooo.

New L200's are 2.5litre DID's with 176bhp, they are a lot easier on juice than the toy's averaging around the 34mpg and the turning circle is the same as good as any other crew cab in the market.

Your thinking of the < 06 L200's where there were a lot of problems.
