this is starting to become a standard where all pc games start to be released weeks/months later than there console counterparts.

Piracy is on consoles too, and theres no evidence at all that its even bad for a games release.

It's already gone gold on the 360! Still, 2 weeks isn't that bad is it? It's not like they're doing it for a laugh... Look at Arkham Asylum, it was delayed (slightly) had that extra PhysX support, etc... and is the definitive version of the game, without question. Perhaps Infinity Ward want the PC version right from day 1!!

Nobody wants to give the dev (who have always seemed top-notch to me) the benefit of the doubt??

Calm down lads, it was hardly a deliberate delay by the developers! PC presents far more combinations of s/w and h/w so there's bound to be more problems uncovered during testing than on consoles.

That's a real pity for PC gamers although I'm sure the promod gamers won't care because they wouldn't play the 'inferior' version of the game anyway, right?

Needling aside, it does seem a bit late in the day to encounter 'manufacturing' issues

TBH, its a tad annoying but I bet its worth waiting for. I would not play an FPS on a console never mind the terrible dual sticks but gaming on a PC and going to a console SUXS ASS....with the terrible AA & AF etc

But devs saying the delay is to add xtra content is bollocks and as was stated its a bit late in the day to be giving it all that. The only confort is that Operation Flashpoint 2 is released this week and looks to be STONKING!!!!

So skip the mortgage payment this month and get both!!! I am...as in getting both not skipping mortga....a you know what I mean.

Far cry 2 only cost me 40 quid when it was released.

OF2 does look good... But OF1 was cr@p (IMO) so I'm not sure if I should invest...

I'm worried at the cost as well... I'm thinking 50 blips (if not more). Disgraceful for a PC game but hey, we're all going to buy it anyway... :rolleyes:

LOL That made me laugh!

OF1 was an amazing game, nothing was ever atempted like this before on such a scale. The map editor was unbelieveable and there were lots of mods too. OF1 was in a class of it's own when this came out, nothing was even close to it. Of course, compared to todays games, it's not great.

50 is ok, but I think 40 for a PC game should be the average. Why would anyone pay 50 60 or 70 euro for a game when you can get it for nothing elsewhere?

I would pay 50 for it, but no more. Piracy is rampant on both PC and consoles, but much easier and more common with PC games.

It seems Steam may be the way to go. Not saying it's uncrackable, but it allows people to get the games faster than going to the shop, esp if the game has been pre-loaded. This may help cut down on piracy.

Steam are robbing fúcks though...they need to sort out their pricing first.
PLus lots of games aren't preloaded on steam.
I bought Crysis Warhead...thinking oh great..it's costing me about €5 extra than in the shops but at least I'll have it in the morning.
Well no it fúckin wasn't great....STeam didn't pre-load Warhead and I ended up waiting till about 9pm that night to play it...fúckers:mad:

As with most of these releases over the years the anticipation is high, you get the game ,rip open box,install, play for a couple of hours and then go,hmmm not that much different from cod4 and then complain about the servers/dropped connections/ ping for the 1st 3 months till they release v 1.1

So im not going to buy it till feb.:)

No delay on PC for Modern Warfare 2. You'll also have Prestige Mode in PC as well as lots of Steam support. Hopefully min specs will be soon

I was reading an interview with four zero two, while he was in amsterdam or something, and he said that there wasnt a delay for the PC. Ill try and find the site again and link it in, sorry i dont have it now, ill let you know if i cant find it
