i have moved into an appt where the previous tenants were heavy smokers and the place just stinks.i have washed the walls, but the curtains are very heavy on the high windows and are hard to remove and anyway i dont see why i should have to foot a large drycleanig bill for them.anyone any suggestions as to how i could get the place less smelly bearing in mind that i am on a student budget!

get a lavender air freshner in the supermarket or a pot porri of scents in a health food shop?

Why don't you ask your landlord to get them cleaned for you? You'd be surprised how willing landlords can be and at the end of the day all they can say is no.

    Good luck
