Hi guys, I have just made the jump to snow leopard and have just discovered that videos in iphoto wont open when double clicked! Apple's support page says that I have to install quicktime 7 from the install disk. My question is this, will it delete quicktime X or run both? I like the new quicktime, and don't really want to…

No, it won't delete Quicktime X. QT7 will be installed to the Utilities folder.

QTX is still missing a lot of features which is why QT7 is still necessary. Future updates should rectify this though.
