    basically ive got a week off from next monday and i know ill be bored senseless! willin to drive 2 or 2 and a half hours but where the hell do people go.im stooped! familiar with the usual dublin area ones but willin to go that bit further if itd be worthwhile. any help?

    You can see the beautiful clare hills from delmage park in moyross,go there meet the locals:)

    Take a flight over to some random english town, walk around then fly back home :)

    Or else get a full tank of petrol and just keep driving :)

    Go up North and buy all your booze, groceries and whatever else you need. That way shop assistants down South can go home early and catch that early bus.

    I do the fly to the uk for a day and fly back depending on price of flights. Glasgow is decent enough for a day

    Go fishing. If you don't have fishing rods, go and sit beside a lake for 4 hours. Actually, outside Dublin on the Navan rd, there is a stocked lake, you can rent rods and buy bait. Can't remember the name though.
