I have a '00 Hyundai Accent and the Malfunction Indicator Light has come on.

Do I need to go to a Hyundai dealer to diagnose and fix the problem or would the likes of Advance Pitstop be able to sort it out?

    Thanks.

Most garages would have diagnostic equipment to read this fault..:)
Your not tied into going to a Hyundai Garage.

Then again you could pick up a code reader like this which should read the
fault(s)...I have one myself and it works on most cars, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Car-Code-Reader-Scanner-OBD2-EOBD-CAN-U581-2010-DTC_W0QQitemZ130332715495QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Diagnostic_Tools_Equipment?hash=item1e586f69e7&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
The only fault with this code reader it only works on engine faults not Abs or Airbag faults....

I'm not sure I'd go to advance for diagnostics. Get some recommendations for local mechanics, ring them and ask them if they can code read Hyundais, I'm not sure if they'd be ODBII compliant back in '00 but if they are, any mechanic should be able to.
