Hey lads, i just bought a PS3 Slim yesterday and i absolutely love it...
but please recommend some good games for me.

this is the games that i already own.

Killzone 2 (good)
Batman Arkham Asylum (good)
Bioshock (one of the best games ever)
COD4 (one of the best games ever)
Rockband (great fun)
MGS4 ( slow and not for everyone but if you like epic games they dont come much better)
Fallout 3

We really need a sticky for PS3 exclusive games. Kinda like the recommend a TV show thread over in the TV forum.

Each person posts describing 1 PS3 exclusive game, then people can tell how liked it is by how many people thank that post. Would save these "recommend me some good games" threads popping up every second day.

Fight Night 4 is good, but I'm terrible at it lol.

Don't forget to get the multiplayer monster that is Warhawk.

Infamous is a very good game also, a hidden gem in my opinion.

Then of course you get the big hitters...

Uncharted 2 is definetly on my list now. Might get infamous and batman soon aswell.

Warhawk is brilliant and can be downloaded from the PS store. Note: it's an online multiplayer game only.

Metal Gear Solid 4: two great games for the price of one. A great single player stealth campaign (if sometimes slow moving as Rev. Kitchen said) combined with a fast paced online multiplayer game (Metal Gear Online).

Some that haven't been mentioned:
Far Cry 2 (think GTA in the jungle)
Valkyria Chronicles (slightly strange but enjoyable strategy/RPG)
Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion (Massive RPG, know it go good reviews on PS3 but would still probably prefer to play it on the PC).

I just cant get into far cry 2 ,the gunplay is great but it is definately no GTA4 in the jungle not by a long shot.
But back on topic get yourself Deadspace i really was surprised at how good it was some real good scares with the lights off late at night.
I dont think anyone has mentioned Resident evil 5 also a great game.
What else....Oh for 1 or 2 sports titles there is pes10 and tiger woods 10
not going to repeat what everyone else said but mgs4 etc. are all top end games.have fun.
Oh and must give Arkham asylum an honourable mention totally savage game.

would recomment fallout 3 as being one of the best games i have ever played.cannot recommend it enough.

best to wait for the game of the year edition out at the end of the month though

Burnout Paradise. Awesome game.....Probably my favourite that I have played.

Though played the demo of inFamous and it looked really good. When I get the cash, its high on my list.

Hmmm... I'm probably going to get slated for this but as someone who's played every GTA game in their original formats as they were released.... GTA4 didn't really do it for me.... (*waits for people to stop throwing rocks and then continues*). Good game but lacked.... something....

Anyway, you're right weiland, Far Cry 2 isn't good enough to rate as a must have game. Good bargain bin/second hand buy though.
