    old thread is old!

That was a 4 year old thread, so I have split your post into a new thread in the classic cars forum.

Not exactly my cup of tea but well done all the same. Another one saved from the crusher! Best of luck with it and do keep us posted with any progress reports.

My uncle has two until recently, one for parts, one for driving, brown, the best colour for cars of the era.

I liked those. The last of the corollas I liked. Any chance of some more pictures including interior?

    Great purchase Stapes21 .
KE30 is a rare site about these days . They were mighty for the rust .
Scrappage scheme saw the death of many examples  .

Were worthless back then ,i was offered one almost identical to yours there for 100pounds back in '99 and i left it as it seemed dear ,haha stupidity now thinking back as any parts and stuff now are sought after amongst enthusiasts .
I know a few lads north/south and in uk that have tidy examples and plenty of lads that are restoring ke20's/30's/70's . So drop a pm if you are in need of any parts or anything . If i can be of help at all i will . Hate to see em meet the crusher .
What are the plans for her .Does it need much to get back on the road you reckon .
As said above ,would love to see more pics of her if possibly .I can pm you an email address if you like

Going by the reg you'd be right in saying its an Offaly car originally .
Tis an '81 reg which is the very last of the ke30's .
I have a 1980 KE70 DX the next model on from the ke30 so your car must have been in the dealer and kept till '81 to register .
Just did a check and it shows up as having 4 owners and tax expiry of Mar'99 . So she is off the road 10+years .

Sweet ride! Do keep us posted with pics and the like.

You're right about it being off the road since 1999, mywheels.ie gives its tax expiry date as March 1999. It's also had four previous owners. But then, if you have the tax book, you probably know all that already. :)
