I usually ride my own bike(s) in town. However, on Friday, I had received my temporary 60 day 3 day card (go figure?) from DublinBikes and it suited me to pick up on High Street and go to Merrion Square.

Thanks to the Fusio iPhone App, I knew there were two bikes available at High Street and parking available on Merrion Square.

Anyway, the point being, I was cut up once and beeped twice whilst riding the Velib, something that simply doesn't happen me on my own bikes. I wonder...........

having seen how..people i know... have been riding Velibs i'm not overly surprised, through red light, down the wrong side of the road, swearving around the place. And that was all within about 2 minutes :)

I was riding as usual, 'taking the lane' as appropriate, absolutely no RLJs, taking the right turning lane early rather than crossing late, etc.

sorry i wasn't inferring that you were doing anything bad/illegal, just that motorists are probably starting to get a bit tired of some velib riders...
