Anybody know if you have to have a learner's permit for 6 months before you can APPLY for a driving test, or can you apply before hand so you can take the test after your six months are up??

You can apply whenever you like. However you can only SIT the actual test after having your learner permit for at least 6 months.

    ......if it's a test in categories A, A1, M, W, B or EB.

Otherwise you may sit the test anytime! ;)

I only have my learner permit about a month. If I was to apply now is there a danger they would give me a test date before the six months is up or do they check how many months you have a permit and take that into consideration?

The newer application forms have a section specifically for this. If you fill it in correctly you'll be ok, and hopefully get a date just after the 6 months are up.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.
