I am trying to sort out a problem on my pal's Powerbook G4. When you want to go on line you must enter in the WEP key each time. I have had a nose around the settings, however, I cannot find anything to stop it doing this. Anyone out there know what the is the solution ? Thanks

Got into his home folder, then library, then keychains, dump the keychain file in there and a new one will be created (all his passwords will need to be re-entered) this should sort it out.

I had the same problem with WEP on Eircom on my macbook also happened on a friends to.

Did you trying switching to WPA?. Works fine for me and also more secure than WEP. :)

The problem on the macbooks is due to an issue with the wireless card, dunno why you would be getting the same on a G4 though?. Give WPA a blast anyway and see how you get on..
