Canon 450d for €499

Harvey Norman and DID are doing this today, as far as i know its only the Blanch and Tallaght stores..(DID - Blanch and Tallaght/Harvey Normans - Blanch/Carrickmines/Rathfarnham) bit of a battle going on i think!

Harveys are giving a free card with it too and with their current promotion of a Night for 2 at a four star hotel is a bonus too.

got one for the finance for crimbo..

hope this is some use to someone.

EDIT : forgot to mention you get the Canon training course with the camera aswell @ Harvey, not sure about DID.

thats very cheap, got it in Argos in the big price reduction in June, brilliant camera. Surprised they have it that cheap in DID/HM?

I have the Harvey Norman leaflet thingy here and its down as €749, so it might be worth ringing your local store first as it does seem like its store specific. Excellent offer though if you can get especially with the free night away offer.

I got this for 519 as big offer in JUne. Course is alright but to be honest, get someone you know and inhalf an hour, you will know all the basics if you have an interest in photography. Great photos.

Got one of these in harvey Norman in blanch yesterday....brilliant deal..Got it for €499 - reduced from €799 with free 2gb memory card, free half day course worth €150..... AND a night away in a hotel...

The Canon 450D was not on offer in any of the Harvey Norman stores yesterday. The 1000D was going for €499...Please do not mislead board members..The 450D was €749 in all Harvey Stores:mad::mad::mad:

it seems that you should have read my post a bit slower.

it clearly showed which stores, in bold..that were doing the deal.

you being in Tallaght, you could have popped into the DID in the Square or Blanch, HN in Blanch, Carrickmines or Rathfarnham...as i posted...

I also don't appreciate being accused of misleading this site, being a member for 2 years giving the right information when needed.

Did you get a lense with this? I went up today and was told this offer applies, but to camera body only.

Rang and enquired to an Indian gentleman about this again today, to which I got "€499 for 450d? Impossible" - despite me clearly telling him "No, you were doing this deal at the weekend, were you not aware of it" - to which he got even more snotty.

Where was this even advertised, so that I have some point of reference if I'm enquiring about it again?

maybe they sold a 1000d price and you got a 450d instead!

the deal was only on the Canon 450d...at the weekend....€499 from €749. To compete with DID who had it at the same price...They didn't advertise it, or post it up anywhere...but if you go into HN and ask the guys at the counter they will tell you....( some people have a problem believing this!)
