    story mofos

was playing a gig there last night and during soundcheck my guitar sound suddenly stopped for a few seconds. Luckily it didnt stop during the gig but it got me well worried beforehand in case it did happen...

At first I suspected it could be the battery in the tuner but now I've noticed there may bit a slight loose connection on the battery cable of the pedal... Just checked it there and it seems to be the problem. Power sometimes turns itself off when i move the cable a bit.

What to do? I've never opened a pedal before... Would it be easy enough to get fixed?

    Its a TU-2 pedal.
    Thanks lads x

    Its a TU-2 pedal.

I'v been looking at getting a TU-2 Pedal,

are they worth the money other then the battery problem?

    Just what sugar said. ....

As far as tuners go I would highly recommend this tuner if you're into strobe type tuners.523562672672X.jpg

It's true bypass...highly accurate and very fast to track notes. It's chromatic and you can use it if your band is down a semi tone ...Brilliant tuner...Best I've used. I found with the Boss TU-2 that it was very slow and sometimes didn't track the note at all. It's also a bit of a tone sucker to some extent that''s why when I used it I would always take it out of the signal path when finished tuning up. The ST-200 also has a very small footprint.

Ive had mine for ten years, still going with no issues (touch wood), considering its the most used on the pedal board

Either this of the Peterson Strobostomp would be good. Having a tuner with which you can set intonation properly is worth gold, particularly in a recording situation. I had the TU-2 and found it to not be accurate enough for intonating. I find that there is generally some change in the intonation when you change strings, even between the same make/type of strings. Being able to sort this on the fly is a real blessing.

    Thanks for that!,

    any idea of the cost?

I find allot of my boss pedals when plugged in and signals passing through, suck ALLOT of tone from the quality and ad a tiny tiny delay :(
