How does one calculate the weight of a camper.ie for VRT. Our camper is maximum technical permissible laden mass is 3.500 kg. Mass in running order is 3060- 3127kg. How do we know if it is over 3 ton for the reduced rate of VRT.

Take it to a weigh bridge completley empty, weigh it and get a printed cert. The vrt people may request another weighing at a bridge of their choise if its'suspect'.

Going by the weights you said, you should be ok if its the 3t mark your looking for..... Good luck

Yup , the VRT office will accompany you to a nearby weigh bridge . And witness the weighing , and will hop inside and check that you don't have ballast on board , or water in the tanks etc.

Is yours a low profile? I think a lot of those are barely making the weight but hopefully you will prove me wrong!
