Having too much to do any too little time to do it.

For mom and dad, it means being at the end of their tether.. feeling they can't cope at all.

All through final year in college, I never once felt stressed, not even as I was sitting in the examination hall just before the final exams.

However my blood pressure was dangerously high every time I got it checked during the year, and I put on weight too. :( So for me it seems like I get more physically stressed than emotionally stressed, if that makes sense!

    I get VERY snappy,
and I could end up crying over something stupid, like banging my elbow.(Just a release of the tension I think.:) )

    That makes sense.

Stress for me->increase in systolic blood pressure.

Having too little to do and too much to do causes stress to me (general stress that is). Too much to do causes a kinda...heavy feeling the chest and a feeling in the head. The emotion itself is like your close to tears but not really. It's stressful, to say the least.

For me its a feeling of total helplessness and despair..
Haven't felt it for a while thank god!

It feels like the most irrational thing in the world (like throwing your monitor out the window or giving your boss a "QWERTYUIOP" tattoo on the side of the head) suddenly becomes rational. I do show restraint though, I've not lost a co-worker in almost 18 months!

I get what feels like a big swirling knot in my stomach and im constantly tense. Horrible feeling :(

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 22,058 ✭✭✭✭Abi

I'm such an angry person when I'm stressed. On days that I'm stressed out, I'd rather not talk at all, or have anyone speak to me. Of course it never works out that way, so I've to make big effort to bite my tongue and get my arse home before I do or say something I shouldn't. Im normally a happy-go-lucky kind of person, so I just want be at home on my off-days.

I find exercise or doing something physical is great for getting rid of the ol stress .Keeping busy instead of sitting , mulling stuff around in your head to much does help a lot .A shower then jumping into bed with a good book is also cool for release of tension

Not being able to think about things apart from what's stressing you, not being able to relax, going to bed thinking about x, waking up and you're still thinking about x. That's stress. Horrible.

Not wanting or feeling like posting on boards.

I would mark that down as stress, but I could be wrong.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 21,191 ✭✭✭✭Latchy

Or on the other hand , being addicted to Boards can have it's own peculiar type of stress for all different reasons

Stress is working with people who don't pull their weight and act like they do.

Double stress from not having the patience to articulate your concern to others fairly

(I'm being overly articulate half consciously ) ;)

Stress is the condition which arises when the mind overrides the body's natural impulse to throttle somebody.
