Is it a bad time of the year to get the driveway tarmacadamed?

We want to get the driveway done (about 300 sq metres) but wonder if falling leaves, frost etc might be a problem for newly laid tar, i.e. leaves will stick to it, frost will get into the new tar and break it up before it settles etc

    Wouldn't think so Dave.
No frost in sight for a while, tar is useable pretty much straight away!

Careful with your quotes and such make sure there is sufficient stone compacted underneath and a good layer above. Nothing worse than a goddam tar cowboy!

Had my small front done 2 years ago around this time with no issues.

Hope your heating woes are over!

We're getting ours done next week hopefully. One thing the guy did say was to be careful with power steering when stationary until after the first summer has been and gone.
