TV on your PS3 ?

Ps3 owners in the UK got the bbc Iplayer The US has Hulu but we cant use them here but i was wondering if anyone has come across any other options for watching TV on the PS3. Legally of course no megavideo links !!! Does Sky player work i think it does but im not a subscriber.

Not a great one but a start is RTE player, ok for watching the new Frontline show, well thats what i watched anyway. Limited shows mainly homegrown.

Never looked at the RTE player but have been told it works grand.

Yea ive thought about the play TV thing all right think if i can pick it up cheap i might get it,for the moment i was thinking more about websites that you can watch TV on, i know BBC and Channel 4 do it but i dont think they work outside the UK. I was wondering if anyone had come across other sites.

That way i could bookmark them and get rid of Corus as i never watch TV anymore.

I think C4 works ok. I remember signing up for it and being able to watch it a while back on the laptop. I dont think the block IPs like BBC and ITV.

Pretty sure thats not allowed...unless you buy one of those FTA thingys....

I am usually gaming upstairs rather than watching TV downstairs there is no point in me paying for the TV channels downstairs ( 30 euro a month) since i dont really watch it anymore. If i can watch TV online for Free and legally then that would do me.

Fair enough about not wanting to pay a subscription but you'd still need to pay the license fee, something that irks me as I never watch RTE.

Can you get TV3 3player on the playstation XMB like Netflix and RTE ? Also can you get the Channel 4 service on the XMB as well ? I know someone mentioned changing your country to the UK to get it but I dont know if you still got RTE.

You need to have a UK account to get 4OD on the XMB, but you can access it via the web browser from an Irish account, which works fine for me.

I didn't know 3Player was available on the PS3 though? I only have Netflix and RTÉ Player...

Download it via the UK account and it will be available via your Irish account.
