If you are on the 500MB addon, I think access to it is via the Live! APN

Check the settings, but I think they are:

    APN live.vodafone.com
    user dublin
    pass dublin

    APN isp.vodafone.ie
    user vodafone
    pass vodafone

They are the setting I use, exactly. And works no probs.

it does work, but still getting charged for bundle and data used. was on to vodafone and they say they don't support the i phone so i have to go to apple...
it works now with the live settings but remains to be seen if i get charged for it.

What a load of bulls**t - I've had an iPhone first gen. and now a 3G for two years on Vodafone, works fine. What CivilEx said is most likely right, your 500MB bundle is only for the Live APN - the 1GB bundle is for the ISP APN and I've never been charged out of bundle data (it even carries over, so I start a lot of months with almost 2GB :)).

thanks all, in that case am i better going for the 1 gig bundle? i know i won't use it but might as well have the choice...

I think I read somewhere that the Live APN is limited to the pages served up by Vodafone Live! directly - you have to visit the Live! homepage and from there, visit the page you want. Traffic from other applications (e.g Mail, IM clients, etc) can't go through that so it counts as out of bundle. The ISP bundle is essentially any Internet traffic, so anything you use falls within the bundled data.

And like I said, the leftover data carries over to the next month so it's not bad value for €9.99 a month. What does the 500GB one cost?

Seems like a no-brainer then, the 1GB ISP bundle is the better one...

yeah, just changed over, now i have to remember to change the settings when the next bill kicks in!

    thanks all.
