Mercy [** Spoilers **]

I know most will hate the Grays Anatomy clone that on the surface appears this new dramedy, but after two eps. i am liking it....i like the characters really.

Michelle Tractenberg's Chloe is the one to watch, the naive small town girl growing up, patients tryna pull fast one's and her empathy and compassion being taken advantage of.

Will it make her hard face and cold as Jordan?......
I like the mix of comedy and drama, i hated Grays and most medical drama's....this one is hardly realistic either. But it does have certain appeal to me.

However i suspect it'll eek out it's 10 or 13 ep. order and be axed in the upfronts. Tis all about ratings and buzz, this show is not doing well on either front.

I'd suggest just taking a look and see if it's your cup of tea

I just don't like Hospital Dramas... House being the exception.
I couldn't even get through half an episode.

First three eps. were pretty good, but the last one just aired was the weakest yet, hoping for more this week. Not sure if it'll get a full season though.

Would def second this show as one to watch. Not bein a fan of Greys Anatomy, I couldnt compare, but is a good hospital drama-No ER but watchable none the less.

Would agree that Michelle Trachtenbery is doin well.

Certainly better than "Three Rivers" (the technology used in that show is just ridiculous!) and Trauma

Hopefully will get a full season so Check it out!

Of the three medical shows; Trauma/Three Rivers/Mercy.....Mercy is the best one IMO. Trauma is really bad, that Rabbit guy is a totak muppet....wasted budget. Rivers....ugh!, CSI Miami goes medical.

Tractenberg is the standout...it's her first "mature" job, i think she's doing it well.

I think this show gets better with each new episode.

This last one was good because the Vet made Veronica face some of the things she'd buried from Iraq.

I found it hilarious when Sonia was arrested by her boyfriend because there was a warrant out for her arrest for the 18 parking tickets. She thought she was going to get away with 18 of them!?

Agree with you about Tractenberg, she's doing a really good job in this show.

Mercy is filling in the 'er'-shaped hole in the Mrs' TV life. She's watched them all so far, and is happy to watch more.

Can't say the same for Trauma. She watched the first, and isn't too pushed about watching more.

Three Rivers is still there to be sampled, but, in a choice between watching the pilot for it, or the latest Mercy, Mercy got the vote.

I think "Trauma" is much more likely to get the axe from NBC than "Mercy" as things stand at mo as "Mercy's" ratings are higher both overall in viewers and more importantly in the coveted 18-49 demo. I hope an Irish broadcaster picks "Mercy" up,knowing RTE They'd put it on RTE2 at 3am on a Thurs morn etc though!

Well i was correct as i said other day on this thread that NBC wouldnt cancel "Mercy" especially with its 18-49 demo doing well for a new NBC Show!

Aye, and the press release states NBC honcho's have seen upcoming episodes and like them, as stated i think it's the best of the crop this season.

Great ep. tonight!...that fight with all Veronica's brothers was ace!..."we're basically white trash" :-)
Big brawl in the hospital "Irish neanderthals" ...hehe!, very fuuny ep. as well along with the lovely Erika Christensen.

Think it was the best ep. of the season thus far. Captain Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) and the actor who plays her hubby are very good actors, they look the part and play the immigrant Irish Cathlolic couple extremely well.

Poor Chloe, but at least she had enough sense not to believe his "we're emotionally separated" bullshine line!!!

What about the poor "girl" who had the male genitalia? Imagine finding out that at 15! As if being a teenager isn't hard enough.

You just knew Veronica wasn't going to be pregnant, that would just complicate things too much. Still felt for her at the end when she went to the nursery.

Kate Mulgrew played the mother of The Black Donnellys, so maybe she's now typecast as an immigrant Mammy ? The actor who plays the husband was in The Wire.

You see I was never a Dawson fan anyway, Pacey all the way :P

I think he's playing the smug Dr well though. It'll be interesting to see how they develop his character.

I really enjoyed this episode. When push came to shove Mike was there for her so he clearly still cares about her.

Sonia realises too late that she made a mistake. I think she hit the self destruct button on their relationship and then regretted it.

It was a decent ep. but had some cheesy moments, Dawson grabbing the gun from the kid, Veronica having PTSD and hallucinations, but overall it was pretty enjoyable. I think Chloe is the best character, i like that doctor with the beard also....he can be funny!

Mercy recently dropping to a disastrous 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demo.
