I'd say Kindney and teh boys will be happy with this selection....

Welsh referee Nigel Owens has been handed the plum "champion of champions" showdown match of the autumn - Ireland against South Africa at Croke Park on November 28.

I would be happy if I was kidney. Owens is probably the best ref in the world right now

    Agree. A super ref.

Where does Kidney come into this? Maybe I'm living in an alternate dimension but last time I looked he was a Grand Slam winning Ireland coach.

Eh, he is. This thread was discussing the ref choice for Ireland vs South Africa so it's probably relevant.

My mistake. I thought it was referring to a different game due to the 'best red in the world' comment by chupacabra.

Someone posted on another thread that if only there was legalised cloning when it came to Owens.

    Couldn't agree more

Well best outside Ireland. I think it is commonly agreed around refereeing circles that Rolland is number one.

Good news. Nigel always does his bit for the home team.

Ha! Probably, but he's ex Leinster isn't he?
As a consummate pro would probably have a nasty outbreak of "fairness".

That good sir, was a typo. An ironic typo, but a typo nonetheless.

    A very good typo. ;-)

I think I'll need to double my friday afternoon coffee dosage after this one. Under-caffination leads to bad things...
